Happy Thursday!!!! Hockey season is underway and there is no shortage this year!!!!!!!! Guess who has two thumbs and is happy... (this guy). The Boston Bruins have their first game tonight against the Tampa Bay Lighting. Time to start the year off right. But one topic I want to discuss, or have feed back on from you guys. How do you guys feel about fighting in hockey? Some people believe it doesn't belong in hockey and that it will cause serious injuries. I see it as something that separates hockey from every other sport; it is what makes hockey... hockey. That if someone on the other team did something that 'violated' the 'code of hockey', you should be able to take the fisticuffs off and handle the situation; and then of course sit for five minutes. I have attached two videos, one showing the recent injury from fighting, which didn't happen due to a punch so it shouldn't be an injury from fighting but technicalities come into play, and a second one showing what fighting does, crowd and momentum wise, and what it could solve.
